Hello Reader, I’m not religious. I don’t go to church. I suppose I might consider myself spiritual – but some days I‘m not even so sure about that. 😆 If anything, life experiences have taught me to wary of religion. (A story for another time.) And yet some of the closest friends I’ve made in the last few years ARE deeply religious. I’ve found them to be some of the kindest, most accepting, supportive and thoughtful folks I know. Which is why I’m excited to be both sponsoring and speaking at the Wise Practice Summit this October 3-5th in Charlotte, NC. If you consider faith to be a part of how you run your practice, this conference might be just the opportunity for you! Your personal values are essential in defining the right business plan AND financial plan for you. And if your faith is important to you, it almost certainly should be integrated into how you build your practice, how you structure your financial plan and how you invest your money. If you register by March 1st (this Friday!!) you will save $100 off your registration. ⏰This event is hosted by my friend Whitney Owens who specializes in throwing a fun and informative summit. She has also been known to rap when opening her events, so you don’t want to miss out. (Yes, this is for serious.) To grab all the details and save your spot, click here! There are more details about the summit below my signature. 👇 (I know I didn’t get around to talking politics; that’s probably coming later this year. 😬) Best, The summit is at the Grand Bohemian Hotel, located in the heart of Charlotte's business district. The Argentinian-influenced Marriott hotel rooms and luxury amenities aren't the only thing that drew me to this hotel. The art and cultural design elements make it one of a kind. Not to mention, the restaurants in and around this hotel are electric.

Hi Reader! I’m not particularly troubled by recent developments in the stock market. And chances are, you shouldn’t be either. To be clear, I AM troubled by much of what the Trump Administration has done, including its unhinged trade “policy.” My personal views notwithstanding, market performance over the past few days isn’t all that unusual. I don’t think it’s accurate (or helpful) to call the stock market reaction a “plunge.” I’m not sure current events are particularly unprecedented....
Hello Reader, I’ve been hearing the same questions from almost everyone I talk to lately: “Is everything going to be ok?” “What should I be doing given the current state of the country?” The start of the Trump Administration has been unprecedented in many ways, creating considerable uncertainty about what lies ahead. Many people are wondering how to adjust their plans in response. During uncertain times like these, I find it helpful to focus on what we can actually control. And while none of...
Hello Reader, Well, it’s been an interesting start to the year here in Los Angeles – to say the least. The wildfires that have decimated several neighborhoods here have impacted pretty much every Angeleno (yes, that’s what we’re called) in some way. We ended up evacuating last week – and while our neighborhood ended up being relatively unscathed, save the lingering air quality issues – it was nonetheless jarring. Of course the events are tragic and my heart goes out to those who have lost so...
